Loosen up and learn to paint expressively! In a fun, stress free
environment, this class features a brief orientation and demo of the “Alla Prima” method of painting from life which includes the process of composition, values, edges, and color harmony. Participants will paint their response to a composition, using big brushes for confident brush work and
a palette knife.
My goal is to help beginners get a good start in painting with oils and for

What a great way to start 2015 at Judy Joy Nocifora Studio! I have truly been honored with an invitation to show my paintings at the Customs House Museum's Winter Art Exhibit: Right Before My Eyes: A Still LIfe Invitational. Clarksville, TN. The show will be at the Museum from January 8 - March 1, 2015. There are twelve other very fine artists in the show… Jason Saunders and Camille Engle from Nashville, TN to name a few. This exhibit is sponsored by Nashville Arts Magazine. If you are in the Clarksville, TN area, I hope you will stop in to see this exhibit. Best wishes to all for much joy, good health and peace in 2015.
I can't believe it is taken me so long to get back to my blog! But…whew! I am breathing a little better after a more than busy fall filled with a lot of work and a little bit of travel. In November, I had three shows to hang all in one week and several commissions to finish. So there was oodles of painting going on in September and October to get ready for these shows.
